Weren’t the two Grandchildren raised by them named, Elenor Parke Curtis and George Washington Parke Curtis? And, why were the two grandchildren raise by their Grandparents instead of their parents?

When George died, only Martha’s grandchildren were still alive, for Jackie died of disease at Yorktown after Cornwallis’ surrender, and Patsy died in ‘75 I believe.
