Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti delivered the 2019 baccalaureate ceremony keynote for USC degree candidates and families. Elected Mayor in 2013, Garcetti is a fourth-generation Angeleno – a son of public servants and the descendant of immigrants from Mexico and Eastern Europe. Garcetti is known for his deep commitment to justice, dignity, and equality for all. Garcetti was named Person of the Year by the Los Angeles chapter of the NAACP in 2014. His determined approach to public challenges earned him the John F. Kennedy New Frontier Award in 2006. #USCgrad

This must be the most uninspired platitude filled drivel coming even for a politician. Compare this speech to the speech Steve Jobs gave to Stanford in 2005.
This is the clear comparison between a true innovator and a mealy-mouthed elected official. WTF does it even mean to say you belong to the world and the world belongs to you? Dumb.
