Here is Why Andrew Yang's Universal Basic Income Might Be A GREAT Idea

Hey Bulldogs! John Sonmez from Bulldog Mindset Here, where I teach you how to go from the Victim Mindset to the Bulldog Mindset.

Today’s video is a bit more into politics, something I usually don’t go deep about, however this one is pretty interesting, It’s about Andrew Yang’s universal basic income idea, and why it might be a great idea.

Andrew Yang is presidential candidate for 2020 presidency, I stumbled upon his interview with Ben Shapiro, where they had a discussion on a certain number of topics, one of them as I mentioned was Andrew Yang’s universal basic income. And I personally think it might be a great Idea.

Andrew Yang – The Ben Sharpiro Show Ep 45: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DHuRTvzMFw

I’m not out endorsing him in this video, however I am surprised to find someone who is a democrat, a liberal who has a rational understanding and mindset and good understanding of economics.

I do think it’s a good idea of having a 1000 dollars a month universal income, having a 12 grand a year it relief a lot of pressure of your back, especially when it comes to entrepreneurs who wants to start a business and go through with entrepreneurial activities, it won’t put you in situations where you are desperate and can’t go make a progress in anything.

I know that a universal Income of 12 grand a year won’t solve all your problems, but as I said it is still above poverty level and will motivate people to get jobs, become self-employed or even entrepreneurs.

I know that a lot of you guys want to become entrepreneurs too, because there are a lot of you guys who are enrolled in my Bulldog Mindset Membership.

And so as I said, a lot of you who are in there, want to start a business want to become entrepreneurs but there is this gap where you making on 30 to 40 grand a year, so you can’t quite your job therefore you can’t go through with your business.

But if we go through with Andre Yang’s universal basic income idea, you will be in a different situation, here you will have a thousand dollars a month that’s coming in, you can build up that side business in 4 to 5 months where you can grow it to a thousand dollars a month too, and here you can stand on your feet and keep improving your entrepreneurial activities and work more on your business.

Yeah you won’t be living great at first, but you will have the freedom and foundation to improve your situation, and that’s one of the reasons why I personally think Andrew Yang’s universal basic income might be a great idea!

I will go through a few other reasons I like his idea and other topics they discussed some that I agree with and some I don’t agree with, so stay tuned!

This is why people don't have an open mind and get emotional, both left and right.

Yang's heart is in the right place but UBI won't work. Here's why: -1) I saw with my own eyes that many people in Alaska used their Dividend for alcohol and strip clubs— Many people will blow UBI on bad stuff too since it is free money 2) Rich people will pool their UBI to invest and become richer, which increases the disparity between the rich and everyone else 3). Businesses will raise their prices since people will have more money to spend. We are then back to square one for the lowest income people – not enough money to… Read more »

A Dividend would be a boon for people that really want to be Content Creators (YT/Twitch..etc) to start doing what they love and it would help them transition.

Also the phrase you were looking for was Mental Scarcity

I am a big proponent of reducing government spending in areas where it does a net harm

I think people no matter their political beliefs would feel better about government spending if it was a true investment in our country

In practical terms… End the war on drugs, private prisons, and the industrial military complex

Increase research in and spending on treating drug addition (it's a health crisis, not a crime crisis), increase spending on roads, bridges and ports

We as a country benefit more from a fixed bridge than a new fighter plane

Being broke should not be stigmatized as stupid or tell any form of that. Knowledge isrelativeand we are smart and stupid in many areas. The most broke people I know are college students. If anything, they are worse than having $0 in their bank because they are in the negative. If you look at some of our most brightest minds in the past, they came from poorest backgrounds and became great scientist/pholosophers when people believed in them and gave them the tools that they couldn't afford. Do not group people because of their worth. While it may be true that… Read more »

I dont think a lot of poor people are stupid. I think a lot of stupid people are poor. I feel you should be more careful with wording it the way you did here. 7:10

I hope Andrew Yang gets elected but question
If we start getting UBI and Marijuana legalization
Will prostitution and drug dealing still exist or will it most likely run out of business?

You're not supposed to say poor people are stupid. Supposed to say what poor people are doing is stupid

Check if your state has open dem primaries. Vote Yang, there's no downside in voting for your favourite candidate on the Dem side, even if you aren't a democrat.

UBI is a great idea.

Everyone can eat!

Those that don't want it….

YOU DON'T HAVE TO ACCEPT IT!

No one wants you taxed at 90 percent 🙄

Some people want your income over a certain amount taxed at that rate not your total income

And the only people able to earn enough for some of their income taxed at that rate are only able to do so because of public spending (school for workers, roads, public transportation, and the like) if you are disproportionately benefiting from the system you should disproportionately fund the system
