Taiwan, a success story. they learned from taking China's official information in the past.

Taiwan also learned a lesson from SARS and started their protocol back in Dec 2019 from the moment news of this strange “pneumonia” started coming out of China. They didn’t believe what China said and went into full scale preventive mode months before we did. We in Canada went through SARS yet we forgot about how to deal with an epidemic.

So Mr. Trudeau, Taiwan 🇹🇼 received Chinese doctor whistleblower info about person-to-person transmission in late December. China denied it until January 20th (thanks). How about YOU acknowledge Taiwan 🇹🇼 for what they did?

Too little and not enough, and these politicians are being brain~washed and used by Chinese govt at the beginning which caused the delay, and pushing your govt to the lockdown approach, therefore it hurt your economy very badly. We all heard about Chinese propaganda, but these following guys don't have any sense of being brian~washed, no cautious of being penetrated. So devastating when watching their briefing, stood in front of a big group of chinese, very sad to mention this bcuz I'm a visual minority too; feel sad when seeing them to be used by CCP Chinese for their generosity… Read more »

Taiwan ignore WHO about 'travel bans' not working, and also ignore the WHO b.s. about 'masks not being effective.' the ONLY reason WHO says that is to stop ppl from buying so healthcare workers can access them. but fact is WHO says contradictory things: 1. only confirmed cases should wear mask, 2. but that 50-75% of ALL transmissions are NOT confirmed cases! so how can you possible get all sick ppl to wear masks unless you get most of the population to wear masks? and masks DO help. that's why nurses wear them. why you think ALL the countries that… Read more »

Remember the WHO director recommend AGAINST Travel ban on China citing that it is discriminatory. Now China has quickly imposed travel ban to Europe and North America. The people from WHO should be held responsibile for the global spread.

Taiwanese all wear masks, too. (and everyone usually has masks at home even during normal times.) despite what the WHO says, masks clearly help. 50-80% of transmissions are from no/mild symptoms ppl — if everyone wears masks, then you greatly reduce spreaders. and tho surgical masks are not very effective at stopping aerolized transmission, they do still help — that's why nurses wear them. if every single person wears a mask, 75% of them will still have had effective protection against aeorilized transmission — as long as the transmission period was a few moments (e.g. an elevator ride). ONLY reason… Read more »

Everyone should wear mask while in the public
places to contain the spread of corona virus. I wear mask, and medical gloves
while I am outside to shop for food, water, and other necessary goods. Also, I
wash my hands with soap thoroughly upon returning to my home each time.

This segment was good and very useful for our hysterical government right until the end, when the narrator described 100 new cases (not even deaths) in all of Taiwan were a 'second wave'….irresponsible fear-mongering. Taiwan has 23 million residents. 100 cases is a wave like me peeing in the toilet is a wave lol

Taiwanese who loves Canada here! We are rejected from WHO and WHA due to China's political pressure. Taiwan did warn WHO about the possible outbreak end of December but got ignored. We have learned to become more self-reliant. People here wear masks as we know that not all the infected people show symptoms. Wearing masks is to protect ourselves and others. Medical masks should be reserved to the front line workers when there is a shortage of supply but people could possibly make their own masks by following some tutorials on Youtube. I am waiting for this crisis to end… Read more »

I recommend China to act during the US Covid 19 freezing of military and stop the self governing local government on the island. They are too annoying for the majority of Chinese. They are like pawns played by the West to fight mother China. Canada will pay a heavy price for its ignorance on this matter.

Taiwan province of China is tiny. Italy is eight times bigger than Taiwan. Throughout the entire human history, the island of Taiwan is never a nation. This is very different from Okinawa, Hawaii, East Timor, etc.

Behind the Taiwan (province of China) foreign minister, is the national flag of Republic of China. The constitution of Republic of China clearly confirms that Taiwan is a province of Republic of China. To say Taiwan is Republic of China, is like saying a tail feather plucked from the tail of a peacock is the peacock himself.

We don't have enough masks for our medical professionals. How would we get enough masks for more than 5 million students a day?
