Hungry polar bears, including cubs, have descended on a village in Russia’s Far East in search for food. Drone footage showed a family of three bears moving in the snow near Ryrkaipiy village in the Chukotka region.
Abnormally warm weather had trapped 56 bears for three to four days on a land area known as ‘bear landing,’ near Ryrkaipiy. Unable to hunt at sea, the bears started moving toward populated areas in search for something to eat.
