"If it don't fit, don't force it." Not Quite Enough Yarn, May 2019

“If it don’t fit, don’t force it”

Thank you for coming to view the May 2019 Episode of the “Not Quite Enough Yarn” podcast.

I’ll be honest, it’s a bit rambling this month!

This is the story of my attempt at a yarn diet, working my way through the stash, but without enough of each single colour to make a sweater.

Thanks so much for watching. Please feel free to add any thoughts, queries or questions to the comments box below.

Hope you enjoy it.

I have a question Lesley: When you have an appointment somewhere outside the home, do you schedule your departure time way ahead of the actual appt. time, so that you will arrive at the appointed place about an hour ahead of time and, therefore, you have time to pick up your WIP and work on it in the car? Just curious.

I read an article today about how drumming with others is great for alleviating depression! I need a drum and a group to drum with! I don't know how to drum, but I'm willing to give it a go!

I've missed catching up on a couple episodes! I am slowly coming out of a knitting slump and that is great but I now feel like I've wasted a bunch of time not knitting and there shouldn't be guilt in that. Thank you for bringing up that point!

Love your sense of humor! I enjoyed watching the drumming–and you look great in your "war paint." Your adapted panel jacket will be so nice. Love the curtain. Funny how you figured out where the white cotton went. Nice bag! The sock is beautiful and your improvised blocker is a great idea. The little shawls project was very clever. Being a doll lover, I was thinking how those sample shawls would be so cute for a small doll! I get very little crocheting accomplished unless it's a gift, sad to say. I think I'm going to force myself to crochet… Read more »

Hi Lesley I am knitting ocean shore and again need your help the fist piece from side to side I cast off the few stitches and knitted the couple of inches it then says cast on 18 stitches on the other side-but I’m not sure which end of the needle is it at the end of the piece or at the middle of the work i.e. same side as I cast of the few stitches. I hope this makes sense to you the way I have described it . I appreciate your in put.
Regards Barbara

Thanks so much for sharing the drum group–that was new to me. Loved the make-up on the group members. I enjoy your sense of humor greatly. I saw your decision to make a 3/4 shawl as a sign–I've been sitting here debating my next project and I think it shall be one in that shape.
