Motorcycling (through Seattle) in the Time of Coronavirus

This is a ride through Seattle’s downtown in early afternoon on Sunday, March 22nd, 2020 aboard Helcate (a Yamaha XV1900). We motorcyclists practice social distancing every chance we get!

There are definitely some people about, but far fewer than normal this time of year, and the whole scene was muted and eerie… You can even see, at times, a strange, pale, glowing orb floating ominously overhead like a phantasmic eye.

A day after this video was taken, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s issued a “shelter in place” declaration for the entire state:

Nice! Enjoyed the V-twin sounds and glimpses of sights I haven't seen in a while. But strangely enough almost makes you miss having lots of traffic.
