it is ironic that these self-righteous senators are heaping all blame to the current bucor director when in fact this vaguely-written law is their creation. they are also skirting the fact that this law (ra10592) has been implemented since 2014 and has already been used to release thousands of prisoners, some even guilty of heinous crime. and do not forget, the IRR (implementing rules and regulations) was written by then SOJ sec de lima and dilg's mar roxas. the bil itself was signed into a law by no less than the former president bs aquino III. as for faeldon, at… Read more »

Naku! President Marcos keep the Philippines Gold in his Ancestral Home basement all the years he was in the office. Then he brought the gold to United States and deposited it under Philippines name. Then he left the so called Last Testament to the Bank Cartels to keep our Gold forever.

It's not sure how much of the Philippines Gold was deposited to all the said Banks and how much was left to kept. I'm sure he left some of gold bars for his family.

They are theives and we should not be voting for them.

in the pHILIPPINES, the pardon power for offenses against the pHILIPPINES is granted to the President of the pHILIPPINES under Article XX, Section # of the pHILIPPINE Constitution which states that the President "shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the pHILIPPINES.

No one has a right to pardon a convicted criminal only the executive power which is the President of the Philippines.

Know your law and constitution or GTFO!

Based on BuCor data, 22,049 prisoners were released as an effect of the current GTCA computation as per RA 10592. 1,914 out of 22,049 were convicts of heinous crimes. A Manila Times report states the following data for # of heinous crimes convicts released under the GTCA provisions of RA 10592: As of Aug. 2019: 8162018: 3842017: 3352016: 2122015: 1052014: 62TOTAL = 1,914 convicts with heinous crimes That's 8.681% out of 22,049 released since 2014.
