Fine, I'll say it: You're being politically biased via lies of omission. Any discussion regarding the differing views between Mueller and Barr regarding what constitutes obstruction, and the fact that Mueller did not prosecute those charges in spite of what he felt was sufficient evidence, cannot be participated in in good-faith without giving due regard to the fact that Mueller did not prosecute entirely due to the OLC ruling that a sitting president cannot be indicted. Barr is a fraud. His summary of the report was a complete mischaracterization. He's actively stripping away legal oversight ability from Congress and allowing… Read more »

A factual summary of the Mueller Report:A. Trump and surrogates were too stupid to know that colluding with a hostile foreign power to trade things like polling data for opposition research and favorable disinformation was wrong and un-American, and that it would naturally result in an investigation–the "origins" of which are meticulously detailed and negate the phony claim of spying and a Deep State Coup.B. Because criminal conspiracy (not collusion) requires proof of intent, and much of the bumbling criminal behavior seemed to be born of ignorance, the standard for criminal conspiracy could not be met without testimony from Trump… Read more »

Not to accuse you of bias because I think that you did a good job presenting the facts but to harp some points…For the conspiracy part, as I understand it, some folks would charge conspiracy because of a retweet(s) of tweets originally posted by a "Russian Agents" BUT wouldn't you need to prove that the person retweeting the message KNEW that the message was in fact from a "Russian Agent"? As far as obstruction goes, of the things listed Removing Comey, ASKING Session to unrecuse himself, QUESTIONING the Conflict of authority of the special council, and CONTEMPLATING the removal of… Read more »

I like analysis but be careful when you're on a swing. I very much appreciated your analysis. Thanks for the video.

In your opinion, do you agree with Barr's call – no collusion/conspiracy and no obstruction? Do you think the Mueller report was favorable or unfavorable to the president?

I would love to hear your analysis of @SethAbramson's megathread on twitter about the Mueller report, it was legendary and the longest thread ever on twitter. Many dismiss him as a biased Russiagate conspiracy theorist, but he's probably the most influential and has a NYT best selling book "proof of collusion". (He also basically invented twitter megathreads. He calls what he does "curatorial journalism" which is to compile good information/articles doing the job for the busy reader) He's a lawyer and has interesting theories that connect to show Russian operatives doing collusive acts and corruption with the campaign. It all… Read more »

God bless the sensibility of Canadians. This is exactly how the mainstream media should be reporting it. I didn't study law I studied film and television in New York City in the 1980s what's happening now should be frightening the only reason it's not is because the mainstream news is losing their power to the internet. But we've been sliding down a slippery slope of crazy propaganda.

Wow. This kind of feels like a cop out. And though you tried to remain unbiased, there were some tinged pieces of rhetoric in there. The whole bit about "oh everyone's fake on the internet" – is a totally unnecessary bit and would require a modicum of evidence pertinent to the context of the case (i.e. that point is moot to make if the 'grassroots' movements were deliberately made by Russians in the purpose of swaying the election – and not just happenstance, statistically-insignificant occurrences). So that's a Poisoning of the Well Fallacy. The pressing of "totally within the Presidential… Read more »

From the outset, by parroting Trump's nonsensical 'No Collusion, indeterminate obstruction', the video is a biased variation on Barr's original press release following Mueller's submission of his report. The publication of the redacted report expose Barr's partisan lie – nowhere in the report does it say that there was no collusion – the most that IS said is that there was insufficient evidence for the charge of criminal conspiracy!!! as to the obstruction, while the report reveal ample evidence for it, the only indeterminate is 1) that from the outset Mueller placed the president outside criminal responsibility, and 2) that… Read more »

According to Devon Stone of LegalEagle, the framework of the report made it impossible for Mueller to make a judgement of guilt or make any charges from the report, but only to establish innocence, which the report said it could not offer. He was deemed not not guilty. If that is accurate, it's important to explain, that it wasn't meant to condemn him. It recommended further investigation to other agencies with jurisdiction.

The important thing now is finding out how such an investigation started in the first place. I watched an interview with George Papadopoulos recently and he thinks that he was being set up repeatedly, and that seems like a reasonable conclusion based on the information that he provided.

No government should be spying on and making attempts to entrap citizens.

What does it mean that an investigation report didn't exonerate him? Since when is it an investigator's job to do so?

You forgot that this report never could have found the president guilty of obstruction due to the murky at best standing of whether a sitting president can even be indicted. Meaning the second half of the report could only have two outcomes not guilty or not not guilty. Mueller himself set this limiting framework on himself.

One should add that the opportunities for collusion were setup by members of fusion gps which was the organization that Hillary used to collude with the Russians for the false dossier that started this nonsense in the first place
