Thank so much for the response about the workday shawl. It seems like the world has gotten so small when we can communicate this way! I will look forward to watching more broadcasts . I also agree with you about supporting the local shops. It's very important.

Really good sound and picture quality with the new tech. I would have loved to see more of your knitting, Jane, with details of yarn, pattern etc. Instead of 'sock tawk' it should be 'frogging frolics'! Lynda – I knit my first pair of socks last October and have done 20 pairs since then. I used dpns for the first time and thought they were the work of a nun drinking red bull! Now, the action of them is second nature and it seems much less fiddly than magic loop. Hope your thumb gets better soon. Jane – I have… Read more »

Oh my, so many laughs! Just loved this episode, ( and all the others as well). My mum use to use the word "messages" for shopping, our next door neighbour was Scottish and always said "cheerio", I remember "See me" written in my exercise book at school and it was always in red. Yes, lots of memories. By the way the sound is so much better, but every time you both went into hysterics there was a weird thumping noise. Hey ho, I'd rather have that than not be able to hear you properly. Keep the laughs coming….cheerio!!

Love your podcast ( thank you Caz ) you two are such a double act 😀 I go to EYF every year and as I wasn’t well this year and didn’t feel fit to queue I arrived at 11.00 am and walked straight in. The next day I did have to queue , as I desperately wanted a Pink Hazel Edinbag which were sold out by 11.00 am the previous day. The queue is part of the fun as you get talking to other knitters ( USA and Germany ) and you have time to see what everyone is wearing.… Read more »

I am about to save your thumb!!!!!! I too had problems with my left thumb and continued to go to the doctor over and over for steroid shots into the joint. Ended up having to get surgery for it. He opened up my thumb/wrist area and saw that it was just perfect….closed it up and did nothing. In the meantime I had to wear a cast during healing and could NOT hold my ipad in that hand. Well, there ya have it. That was the problem. Having some trouble with the same thumb….different joint. Sharp, hot pain….from knitting. Hubby went… Read more »

You talked about the work day shawl on a previous podcast. It's beautiful but I can't find it on ravelry. Can you tell me who the designer was? That would be appreciated.
Your yarn friend in USA.
