Why going lightweight if you have to add lead weights to meet the UCI minimum weight…?

MasterBata

It's so light it needs to be weighed down…
It makes no sense to put dead weight such as lead in it, how about a motor in the crankset and batteries in the frame?

more Adam Hansen geeky content pls!!

Seems like Dan is willfully forfeiting his status as the 'King of Style' with those white sneakers and black socks…yikes!

to be consequent Hansen should make his own cleats… the normal ones add ~50% to the weight of his shoes – he easily can save some g's

Liking the inclusion of the LOOK Huez, in this lineup and back in the TDF. Classic brand, would really like to see a GCN bikes of the Tour show on this bike.

Who else got a Team Sunweb Ad? 😁

Does Adam Hansen use a protective kevlar layer (or dyneema for added extravagance) on the skin side of the shoes? I shudder at the thought of crashing, damaging the shoes to the point of extremely painful carbon splinters.

@Dan – Really? Black socks and white sneakers? Are you pro or what?

That one piece cassette is slick.

Dunno I could pay attention to Dan's explanation of the Look bike with those white trainers and black socks…hot or not? I say not

Fritz White

I think there has to be some power loss with that cleat shoe system. I'd rather have my cleats secured with bolts.

The Rotor Uno cassette has my attention.

Poor Adam Hansen, leaving his lightweight radio at home could mean he gets 135th and not 134th #wasteoftime

I love how accustomed Dan looks in the start of this video while it's raining. Even with the lightest drizzle I'm considering riding indoors. I need some proper #5 htfu.

Love the Look climbing bike, I hope it's available to the public. And those Corima wheels!
160g shoes! Outstanding

Last year was the year of the aero, this year is the year of the lightweight?

Again…the fact that they have to add weight to a bicycle to make it UCI legal is proof the UCI is an ancient, out of touch organization of useless bureaucrats.

All those pretty toys that I'll never be able to afford 🙁

@DanielLloyd please never wear that color shirt again. You look like a flattened pop-tart banana peel. Cheers and thanks for the beer back at the 2016 Giro in Vicenza 🍺 @globalcyclingnetwork

Those shoes though…. They look like carbon slippers.

Oooh that Argon-18 is sexy.

What is the point of removing the rubber cover from Di2 shifters when afterwards you drop lead weights into the frame to meet the 6.8kg minimum weight limit?

Can i still become a pro rider at 19 even though im a mid range rider in my local club? My strengths are sprinting and flats. I would kill for a pro contract

The God Effect

This focus on low-weight…absolutely ridiculous. As if that's the only factor that matters. One piece alu cogset? Whatever.

What are the boas on adam hansen's shoes for?

Damien

lol sometimes all those weight savings to add leed tubes latter is funny

cakeba

why not add weight to the bike in the form of a more comfy saddle, or at least one with steel rails, or a dropper post or disc brakes? If it were my bike and I had to make it heavier I would load it with as much useful stuff as possible instead of lead weights.

I love how Adam Hansen looks to save weight from places other than the bike. He thinks very differently and is very clever in his designs.

Lots of weighty stuff to mull over
