The Desert Mountains of South Africa. ASPW Chronicles.

My first ever shoot with HD video – if you can call 720 HD. A trip through South Africa’s remotest region, in the far northern Cape Province is a desert mountain region called The Richtersveld. Part of a World heritage site, this was my forth visit. Over one hour duration. Filmed in 2009. We were driving a Toyota Land Cruiser 80-series and a Toyota Fortuner 4×4.

39:00 … so why did the designers not build escape steps into the concrete Cassons, or anyone since?
Just a few cinder blocks like steps inside a Lighthouse …

8.5km/l is very bad for a Fortuner with no trailer or roof rack.

After 65 years on this planet and consumed all the tourist & wildlife movies and videos and sat through all the friends and family slide shows and photo albums of the The African Continent there has been ONE most outstanding lesson I've learned about AFRICA!!!!STAY AWAY FROM AFRICA!!!… Everything there wants to kill you or Robb you or murder you!!! There is nothing there that we don't have in Australia, geographically at least as the two continents were once one "Gondawana land" and as for the wildlife!! Well every Zoo in every city of the world has them and truthfully… Read more »

Great Andrew, thanks. This series will take my mind off the sky trails. After all, there's not a lot l can do about the weather manipulation psychopaths.
