Watch live: British Parliament debates Brexit

The British House of Commons passed a bill Sept. 4 seeking to avert a no-deal Brexit on Oct. 31 in another blow to prime minister Boris Johnson’s plan. Politicians are pompous professional liars and hypocrites blah blah blah . They don't want a no deal but don't provide alternatives . All the criticism of the opposition parties and they can't agree on a deal or come up with solutions that they agree on . SNP opposed to no deal yet vote against Theresa Mays deal three times . Chaos is the order of the day . If there was a credible third party or a new party I would vote for it and vote every lieing politician out of office . They don't deserve our trust as every… Read more »

Perhaps BREXIT was engineered to protect the Gold/Wealth amassed/store in London by the Rothschild's (former Germans), who feel threatened by EU's future need to share in that wealth. The tons of gold/petro$$ removed from Iraq/Libya must have something to do with dividing the United Kingdom.

The anti-brexiteers MP's make me sick. They have been crying out for a second referendum for ages and now don't want one because they are scared that they will lose if is put before the people again.

I just started binge-watching the House of Commons, but I was wondering, which came first tag-teaming in wrestling or tag-teaming in parliament?

The thing with Brexit is that, it is like being part of a party from various groups for decades then deciding you want to leave the party forever…but still want to enjoy the invitation, booze, snacks and gifts (I.e. a deal). Not only does this move scream desperation, it is literally like wanting your cake and eating it too. From a commercial perspective, leaving without a deal means going out on your own and establishing new deals, no longer dependent on the EU. Isn't that the whole bloody point of brexit? You can't say you want to leave the EU… Read more »

The point the MP made against the bill since the electorate voted for Brexit even understanding that it could occur without a deal is questionable. How well could that have been understood by the electorate? And what about now, in light of the Yellowhammer report? He's very conveniently ignoring that the current majority sentiment is to avoid a no-deal Brexit.

In the UK, do bills contain pork, or is that just in the United States?

A no-deal Brexit should never have even been on the table. Yet the unwinding of their involvement in the EU is so daunting and encumbered by competing interests that a negotiated exit seems greater than their collective will to achieve on any reasonable schedule.
